SRA was formed in the late 70’s as a consultancy providing ultrasonic solutions to industrial problems. From loosening seized wing hinges on naval jet fighters to destroying bacteria in machine tool lubricants - we responded to technical challenges over the years.

In the late 80’s we developed OSCAR, which became the world's most successful cement removal system for orthopaedic revision surgery. Then, from this ground-breaking springboard, we went on to create the Phys-Assist, a revolutionary physiotherapy device and Sonicut CDX400, a world first in ceramic tile cutting technology.

Today, we are a leading innovator of ultrasonic products for medical, domestic and industrial applications with an extensive design, development and manufacturing operation. Our R&D team brings together the disciplines of mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, chemistry and materials science. All products are designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with BS EN 46001 and the USA's QSR/GMP equivalent, whilst a comprehensively skilled team enables a smooth transition from development to full-scale production.

We have a proven track record in achieving both CE and FDA regulatory compliance in a range of medical device applications and our technology is protected by worldwide patents. A number of the original feasibility and development projects were supported initially by DTI SMART and SPUR awards.
